Overview

Starting from the layby at The Cross Keys Inn and heading up Cautley Spout - England's highest waterfall, falling 200m in a series of cascades. The route then climbs up to The Calf the highest point in The Howgills  676m/2218ft.  We then retrace our steps to continue along to Bram Ridge Top, Calders, Arant Haw and Winder descending then to the Rawthey Valley and follow the undulating path by the river back to the start. This is a strenuous walk and involves some some easy scrambling at the start, but the paths along the top are wide and visible. The walk may vary depending on weather conditions. There is not much room for car parking so please car share as much as possible.
