A walk with a real mix of scenery from low level walking next to Errwood Reservoir, exploring the ruins of Errwood Hall, then a big uphill to reach Shining Tor summit with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills and Goyt Valley. From here we drop back down into Stake Clough and pick up the River Goyt heading back walking along the far side of the Reservoir.
Parking is FREE at The Street carpark.
Dogs are allowed on a short leash.
Start Place: We will meet in The Street carpark, Errwood Reservoir, Goyt Valley, SK23 7HB (nearest postcode). If the carpark is full there is parking on the other side of the dam in a smaller lay-by on Goyt's Lane, alternatively there's Errwood Hall car park.
