Overview

The main aim of the walk is to cross the sands from West Kirby to Hilbre island. We will walk from Hoylake station to West Kirby and, probably, make a circuit of the Marine Lake before crossing to Hilbre. After lunch & some free time, we will return along the coastal path. Please note there will be shallow salt water & slippery rocks on our route. We are advised (3rd party) that it is possible to park on the seafront (North Parade), approx. 10 mins walk from station. Approach via A553 Market Street & The KIng's Gap, to be facing correct way, as it is one way. Dogs welcome, must be on short lead on the island. . Under 500 ft asc. Tel 07572804436. Please book for this walk in the Walks Programme. Maximum bookings 30. Full Day. Bring lunch. Booking is essential and opens from 08/05/2025.
