Meet in Portland Road, Hythe car park (height restriction) - there is a small charge for all day at this time of year – by Hythe Green behind the former Duke’s Head pub. Alternatively, park free nearby along A259 Dymchurch Road/ Military Road on either side of the Military Canal.
This circular walk will take us via a bridleway to Pedlinge, then through woods to Westenhanger and Stanford. We’ll then cross fields to reach Postling and Tolsford Plantation before returning to Hythe via Saltwood and St Leonards Church.
The route is hilly in places and there are some stiles.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but you may need to lift them over some stiles.
Please bring a packed lunch. Further refreshments will be available on our return to Hythe about 15.00.
