A special walk to honour our Shropshire Ramblers Area President, and TES Group member, Marion Law's 90th birthday. A lovely, varied , leisurely paced walk from Kemberton 5.6 miles through fields, woods, alongside Wesley Brook, past Evelith Mill towards Grindleforge and along quiet country lanes. Spring flowers, wood anemones, bluebells and wild garlic is just beginning to appear in King Charles wood. Marion will be joining us for the walk and lunch afterwards. Gill S, Anne F, Anne S will be leading.
There is a stile and steps going down and up in the wooded area after Kemberton Mill therefore the route is graded as moderate. There is the opportunity to shorten the walk and not to go to Grindle Forge if steep steps present difficulties for any walkers, one of the co leaders will escort people who want to do this. Sheep in one field but there is the possibility of cows in the fields after Kemberton Mill. Lunch is optional, you can join us for the walk only, if you want to eat lunch in the Mason's Arms PH, (1pm approx) meals would need to be pre-booked 4 days before. You can also park at the back of their car park. Car share is available from Telford and Shifnal. Please contact leader if you want a car share or to join us for lunch. Leader Anne S
