Join Clive as he explores the last remaining undeveloped hill of Swansea Bay.
Subject to much controversy over the commercial proposed development of the Skyline Cable Car and Luge.
If approved the development would eat into the countryside of the hill.
We will see it still in its present (restored) natural glory.
The copper fume-blackened wasteland was replanted with trees over 50 years ago to create a green and wonderful natural resource next to the city centre.
Some of these trees may disappear under the development.
There will be a steady ascent to the top of the hill (No cable car!).
See more photos of Clive’s previous walk onto Kilvey Hill.
Social after walk:
Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to The Ship Inn.
Directions: Car Park is on opposite side of the River Tawe from the Morfa Park and Ride.
Use the slipway west from the roundabout south of Swansea.com (Liberty) Stadium
(not the roundabouts by Swansea.com Stadium).
