Starting at Kings Standing Car Park we will follow the Vanguard Way south, then cut across to the Wealdway then the Diamond Way and up to the Airman's Grave and on to Friend's Clump before returning to the start. The route is almost entirely on the Ashdown Forest, where there are fantastic views with plenty of gorse in flower.
This is quite a hilly walk and there could be patches of mud so sturdy footwear is essential and walking poles are recommended. Please bring a picnic lunch and sufficient water. Explorer Map: 135
