Overview

The walk is approximately 6 miles long.  The walk is a figure of eight configuration and is on wide tracks, footpaths and short lengths of road.  There are a few gentle slopes and one boggy bit which can normally be avoided.  We don’t go fully into Newbourne but turn up Jackson Road.  This is where the Land Settlement Association (LSA) set up market garden greenhouses and housing for workers from around Britain.  The levels of the 1953 floods will also be indicated.
