The walk will start from the car park, where we will head down to the riverside via the castle, then head up the Harrogate ringway before make our way down (and up at times) Bilton Lane. Shortly after passing the Gardeners Arms, we will join the old railway line in the direction of Ripley to the Nidd viaduct.
We will then work our way along Nidd Gorge back into Knaresborough.
The walk is about 7.5 miles.
Dogs are welcome, but must be on leads.
I've graded this moderate as there are some steep hills / tricky bits at times. However it's in the main relatively easy terrain.
🚉 You can get a train from York at 0910, arriving Knaresborough at 0935, and it's a 10–15 minute walk from the station to the meeting point
