Join us for a walk with a literary flavour taking in many of the places associated with Dylan Thomas including: Laugharne Castle, the Boat House where he lived and the writing shed where he worked.
The walk follows the coastal path along the salt marsh before climbing St John's Hill where Dylan famously walked and was inspired to write his poem in October.
The walk then winds back along wooded paths to Laugharne before heading out again along ancient sunken lanes which open out to beautiful views of the Taff estuary.
We will then return to Laugharne to visit the church and cemetery when Dylan was buried and Brown’s Hotel where he often to be found.

There are several stiles and some steep sections of the coastal path. Brambles and nettles are also in evidence in a few places. Paths can become very slippery when wet. Please take care on these sections and wear appropriate sturdy footwear and clothing. Walking poles are advised if you normally use these.
There will be walking on busy roads in and around Laugharne so please stay with the group and take extra care when crossing the roads.
There is parking available in the car park below Laugharne Castle. Charges apply.
Refreshments are available in Laugharne which has several cafes and pubs and food & drink outlets.
