A circular walk starting from Lewes railway station walking south on the Juggs road towards Kingston. After, a short steep climb up onto the downs and along to Rodmell for a picnic lunch. Returning to Lewes in the afternoon alongside the river.
Accessible by public transport from Brighton. Catch the 09:58 train from Brighton which arrives in Lewes at 10:12. The walk will start from outside the main entrance to Lewes station.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers. Click here (https://www.ramblers.org.uk/membership) to apply. The cost is very reasonable and there are also other benefits. Please then bring your membership card with you.
