Overview

A hilly walk combining downland and woodland. This has spectacular views on a good day. However it is not without challenges. It has 902 ft of ascent and 932 ft of descent in two main ascent and descents. One of the descents is challenging as it is on a narrow enclosed path. The path is steep in places and is uneven and can be slippery. WE walk up to the ridge of the downs and along to Chantry Post. We have a gradual long descent and ascent, These paths are all good. We then begin the tricky descent to Coldharbour and return along the valley past Sullington. The path here has muddy parts. Sticks, gaiters and knee supports highly recommended. Dogs are welcome but there are quite a few places where they have to be on a lead due to livestock, pheasant or nature reserves.
