A linear walk from Ganllwyd ascending Y Garn with descent via the new Precipice walk.

At 630mts Y Garn is an outlier to the E of the main Rhinogydd ridge. The route goes up through woodland past the attractive Rhaedr Ddu waterfall before emerging onto open moorland & ascending more steeply passing the Cefn Coch gold mines. If weather allows the views from the top are excellent with almost the whole of the Rhinogydd & Cadair Idris ridges visible together with the Mawddach Estuary.  The descent is mostly moorland until the Precipice Walk is reached which is mostly level before the gradient increases down through woodland back to Llanelltyd.
