We are a very active and friendly Ramblers group. Our programme explores the most attractive countryside in the surrounding area including the Surrey Hills.
Meet at Feltham Station at 09:48. The train from Staines is at 09:40, Ashford 09:43 and arrives Feltham at 09:48. When you get off the train leave by the exit at the far end of the platform just before the road bridge. Toilets are available towards the other end of the platform. Meet your leader at the exit and we will then take the H25 bus to the start. For those who will not be travelling from Feltham Station on the H25 Bus, please meet by the main entrance to South West Middlesex Crematorium (Hanworth) on Hounslow Road, Feltham TW13 5JH at 10am where we will commence the walk. This is a flat walk following the River Crane all the way to the Grand Union Canal near Bull's Bridge(after Baber Bridge (see below) there is a board walk which will be slippery after rain). We then turn left along the canal towpath for about 1/3rd of a mile where we turn off for a short walk to Hayes and Harlington Station(no toilets). There is a Cafe at Baber Bridge after one and a half miles, and a late pub/picnic lunch stop at the Crane Pub near the canal. N. B. This has not been surveyed, so some details could change.
