Overview

Meet at the Pevensey Road Nature Reserve bus stop in Hanworth. Bus 216 from Staines Bus Station 08:40 (Ashford War Memorial 08:52 ) arrives at Hampton Rail Station 09:25 change to bus 111 which leaves Hampton Rail Station at 09:34 and arrives at the Pevensey Road Nature Reserve bus stop at 09:59. This is a flat walk following the River Crane all the way to the Grand Union Canal near Bull's Bridge(after Baber Bridge (see below) there is a board walk which will be slippery after rain). We then turn left along the canal towpath for about 1/3rd of a mile where we turn off for a short walk to Hayes and Harlington Station(no toilets). There is a Cafe at Baber Bridge after one and a half miles, and a late pub/picnic lunch stop at the Crane Pub near the canal. N. B. This has not been surveyed, so some details could change.
