Transport to Walk Start: Any tram, bus or train that will get you to Manchester Victoria for the start time. Please note you will not be able to use Northern or Trans Pennine trains on this day due to a strike.
Meet Point: Meet at Manchester Victoria train station (near the ticket barriers/information boards)

Waypoints: River Irwell, The Meadow, Peel Park, Wallness Lane, Kersal Cell, Prestwich Golf Course, Kersal Moor, Kersal Dale, The Cliff, Kersal Wetlands, River Irwell, Broughton Bridge.
Extra: Toilets at walk start, then none on the route. Optional drinks at the end of the walk
The circular route takes us from the noisy bustling city centre of Manchester to the beautiful quite riverside green paths, established country lanes of Kersal’s moor, dale and wetlands that are surrounded by the growing new urban landscape and Skyland towers of Salford. This walk includes points of social historical interest such as: the second oldest building in Salford; the site of one of the first golf courses in England and the tragic crash of a Lancaster bomber.
Please wear appropriate footwear/walking boots as the paths can be muddy in parts.
