Transport to Walk Start: 09:58 train from Manchester Piccadilly (final destination Huddersfield).
Meet Point: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly train station, near the ticket barriers or on the platform. Alternatively, meet on the train or at the walk start at Marsden station. Drivers are advised to park at Greenfield and join us on the train at 10:22.
Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Marsden £12.70.

Waypoints: Stone Pit Clough, Pennine Way, Castleshaw Reservoir, Pennine Way, Oldham Way, Diggle, Huddersfield Canal
Return Services: From Greenfield: x:12/14/15 until 20:14, then x:42/45/46/48 until 23:46.
Extra: No toilets at walk start. No toilets en route until two miles from the end at Papa Greens cafe on the Huddersfield Canal - please buy takeaway food/drink from the cafe if you use the loos here. After the walk, those wishing to stay on for refreshments can join us at a pub in Greenfield.
This walk involves a gradual ascent up to the halfway point, after which it is a steady downhill until the finish. A reasonably good degree of fitness is required and it is not suitable for novice walkers.
