A gentle morning stroll across the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from Hungerford to Kintbury.

Walk details
This walk begins by heading south through the open common land of Hungerford Port Down to Anvilles. We'll enjoy the gently rolling farmland and woodland to the south and east, passing north of Inkpen, and then make our way into Kintbury. There may be time for a drink together at the end of the walk.
Travel details
By public transport
If coming from Reading, catch the 09:02 train which calls at Newbury at 09:17 and arrives into Hungerford at 09:26. If this train is delayed, the start of the walk will be too.
By car
Limited parking available at Hungerford and Kintbury stations. If you park at Kintbury, catch the 09:10 to Hungerford which arrives at 09:14. If you park at Hungerford, there are hourly trains back to Kintbury after the end of the walk. Alternatively, it's only about a 3 mile walk back to Hungerford along the canal.
