This gentle stroll will take us along the Kennet & Avon Canal from Kintbury to Newbury with a diversion through Hamstead Park. Starting at Kintbury station, we'll immediately join the canal to head eastwards away from Kintbury for around 2.5 miles. This'll take us to Hamstead Lock, where we'll turn right to walk through Hamstead Park, which is a 13th-century mansion and former deer park. From here, we'll have a brief walk along the Enborne Road before walking past Enborne Copse back to the canal to head into Newbury. Once in Newbury, we'll walk past West Mills before having an end of walk lunch stop at Newbury Lock, with the option to have a pint at The Lock, Stock & Barrel afterwards.
