Overview

This is a leafy walk through ancient woodlands, home to rare bats and other critters. The route follows established paths with some uneven terrain across fields, some gravel paths and a bit of lane walking without pavements. We take in part of the Test Way and there are some rather lovely views across the Test Valley. We used to be able to follow the Chained Bear Milestones but sadly, these were made of concrete and the National Trust have now replaced them with splendid new blue plastic finger posts!
