Overview

Musselburgh to Seton Sands

Linear walk from Musselburgh to Seton Sands, following the John Muir Way, return to Musselburgh via LRT bus 26 (so bring your bus pass if you have one!). Weather depending we’ll do a detour to the bird hides at the Musselburgh lagoons (Avocets have been seen there recently) and also admire the wildflower meadows in the area. There is an optional extension at the end of the walk up towards Seton Collegiate Church and through the Seton Dean Woodland Trust Reserve.Walk is on a good path and is relatively flat but with some gentle inclines. Dress appropriately for the weather as there is little shelter from the pouring rain or blazing sun!
