Saturday 3rd Aug 09:20, meeting in the Pentland View Car park in Currie.
Instead of catching up on weekend chores, have you thought about walking with a group? - Try Ramblers
After receiving a warm welcome and meeting other walkers, your walk leader will give you an overview of your walk with the opportunity to ask any questions before enjoying the fabulous views of our beautiful countryside
Starting from the Pentland View Carpark, off Lanark Road West in Currie. We start our walk crossing the road and joining a short stretch of the Water of Leith before turning up to Blinkbonny village. From here we take a country track, with views of the Pentlands, towards Colinton. Passing an equestrian and walking under the city bypass, we arrive in Colinton where we turn down the glen on a zigzag walkway to Spylaw Park where we will stop for a break. We finally join the Water of Leith and follow this track back to the start.
Difficulty: leisurely
Distance: 5miles, Ascent: minimal
What do I wear?
Comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather forecast, hopefully not raining but be prepared. Footwear should be supportive; some tracks may be muddy.
