After receiving a warm welcome and meeting other walkers, your walk leader will give you an overview of your walk with the opportunity to ask any questions before enjoying the fabulous views of our beautiful countryside
Start at Pentland Medical Centre Car park, 9:30am.
Walk east to Kirkgate, cut through to Lymphoy on right. The path leads towards Malleny Gardens, turn left and take path through the trees.There is a small path off on the left ,this can be muddy. Go along to the end when the trees open out, and reach side of a field.
Walk along edge of the field till opens out and joins a made up path at right angles. Turn left and carry. On this path till reach the farm. Follow signs round the farm, cross the road and go down the road to the. Pentland hills. As you reach the car park, turn right along the path to the Ranger’s centre and toilets. First stop.
Then walk round the reservoir till reach the dam. Then go across the bridge on right towards the Ranger’s Centre.
Second stop.
Cut through the edge of the wood to Harlaw Road. No pavement to start with, but walk down to where Malleny Millgate turns off to the left. Go down there to the bus terminus, to catch the bus back to Currie.

Distance: 5miles, Ascent: minimal
What do I wear?
Comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather forecast, hopefully not raining but be prepared. Footwear should be supportive; some tracks may be muddy.
