Overview

A linear walk from Hampsthwaite through Birstwith following the River Nidd and the Nidderdale Way.  We leave the river at New Bridge and continue to follow the Nidderdale Way eventually crossing the river near White Oak.  We then  walk via Westfield Farm, West House Farm and Clint where we rejoin the Nidderdale Way which we follow to finish the walk at Ripley.

No dogs please - possible cattle.

Catch the 08.42 train from York to Harrogate arriving at 09.21. Purchase a return ticket.  We then catch bus no 24 from Harrogate Bus Station at 09.55 to Hampsthwaite arriving at 10.13.

Return bus no 36 from Ripley at 16 and 46 minutes past the hour to Harrogate. Trains from Harrogate are half hourly back to York.
