A strenuous 13.5 mile coastal walk from Seaford to Eastbourne. Well worth the effort for the superb views along the way.
We will start at Seaford and begin with a steep climb up Seaford Head before following the cliffs to Cuckmere Haven. En route you will see the classic view of the Seven Sisters and the famous cottages. We will stop at the Seven Sisters Visitor Centre for a short refueling stop before we launch ourselves onto the 7 Sisters which lie between Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap. You will be rewarded by lunch at Birling Gap. It's then only 5.5 miles back to Eastbourne via Beachy Head
Please bring your own picnic food as cafes en route get very busy & queues will be long.
The 12/12X Coastliner bus runs the length of the walk and this can be used to make the route shorter if needed. This whole route is covered by the £2 price cap
Rough distances are Seaford to Cuckmere Haven 4 miles, Cuckmere Haven to Birling Gap 3 miles, Birling Gap to Beachy Head 3.5 miles, Beachy Head to Eastbourne 3 miles.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending.
If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
