A linear walk along the North Downs Way. From Hollingbourne Station, we retrace our footsteps from 2023, back into Hollingbourne Village and walk along quiet roads and track, some of which also follow the Pilgrim’s Way. Views of fields and an undulating landscape. For lunch we go down into Lenham, which has a couple of pubs, a bakery and a tea room.
After lunch, we go back up along the North Downs Way until we get to the lovely village of Charing, where there is a church, the ruins of a former archbishop’s palace and a few pubs.
Travel: Take the 8.55 from London Victoria arriving at Hollingbourne at 10.09.
Meet by the station building.
There are hourly trains back from Charing (or more if you want to take the more expensive route via Ashford International).
