Overview

Leaving Cholsey station we head towards North Moreton past Westfield Farm and Lollingdon Farm on a byway, and skirt around Aston Tirrold before taking in the views, subject to weather, from Blewburton Hill. We then process due north towards South Moreton before arriving at North Moreton where we will take our lunch. Leaving Moreton we head towards Wallingford where we enter the town and then turn back towards Cholsey following the tourist train line and past the impressive Cholsey church.

Please meet outside Cholsey railway station for a 10:10 start. The 09:53 train from Reading arrives at 10:09 and the walk will start soon after arrival. (Trains back to Reading after the walk leave at 13 minutes and 42 minutes past the hour.) The station car park costs £4 for the day.

The walk is flat with only one short undulation [Australian for hill] hence the walk is graded moderate. Possible minor mud in parts, as is expected at this time of year. Please bring a packed lunch and drink, as usual.
