The walk is to the east of Wetherby on the far side of the A1. Mostly on good surfaced tracks and country lanes but with some grassy field paths and small villages in between. 99% flat but with one very sharp bank to descend to the riverside about half way round. No pub stop. Coffee and lunch stops al fresco en route. Should be an ice cream van in the car park at the end.
NB. Start time for the walk is 9.30
Meet in the Riverside/ Wilderness Car Park off Bridgefoot in Wetherby. A1 North and then A168 into Wetherby. The car park is sharp right off the small roundabout immediately after crossing the bridge over the River Wharfe. Go down the slope and park at the far end. It is free. Don’t forget the roadworks on the A1 at Wentbridge.
