Overview

Parc Cwm Darran is a picturesque country park that belies its history as the site of the former Ogilvie Colliery. The walk is on good paths within the park, but we also follow some woodland paths on the east side, that can be a bit muddy. We  first head south to Deri and then head north to climb through Coedwig Fochriw and return passing the lost village of Pennybank.
