Overview

From Penhelig the route takes a rock-cut platform along the Dyfi estuary before ascending steeply up to a high level ridge with fine views. The ridge is then followed before dropping down through a small valley to cross the Aberdyfi to Tywyn road & sand dunes to return to Aberdyfi along the beach.

PLEASE CONTACT LEADER . This is a bus ramble using the 0835 T28 from stand 4 at Aberystwyth or enroute to Machynlleth where the connecting G21 service takes us to Penhelig. The return bus from Aberdyfi leaves at 1405 & 1605 or train at 1532 to Machynlleth.
