We are the Newark Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will gently ascend from Lowdham village hall car park to Ploughman Wood with long views toward the Vale of Belvoir.
After a coffee break, we will visit the rural village of Woodborough, and then onward to Epperstone.
From Epperstone there is a steep climb with more excellent views before we return to Lowdham for a Ploughman's rest.
When recce'd the field paths were very muddy so do keep an eye on the weather and come prepared!

Enter Lowdham Village onto Main Street, turn into the Village Hall Car Park, opposite The Old Ship Inn. Drive to the side of the Village Hall to the rear car park. The 9.29 train from Newark Castle arrives Lowdham at 9.49. Go over the crossing, walk down Station Road to the Crossroads, go straight ahead down Main Street with The Magna Charta on your right, turn left into the Village Hall Car Park. Please let the Walk Leader know if you are travelling by public transport. There are usually return trains to Newark Castle every hour.
