This is a 6.5 mile circular walk around Ponteland .We will start by walking through Ponteland Park and will take in farmland , the riverside and open meadows to Dissington Bridge returning through Darras Hall along the bridlepath / disused railway line into the village .

The walk is flat with no hills or stiles but we do have to step across a stream which can be a little tricky. It may be muddy and slippery depending on the preceding weather and I would definitely recommend using sticks.

The car park is free all day but please note that you need to park in the WHITE bays rather than red. There are toilets next to the car park and many pubs and cafes in Ponteland for refreshments at the end.
