Overview

Overview
Please arrive early as there is only a relatively small car park. On passing the sign for Scots Gap, there is a 30 miles per hour sign followed by a sign for a hump back bridge.  The turning for the car park is next on your left down a driveway.

Please note, there are no toilets.
The terrain is along old railway lines, and across fields with a few mild slopes, some steps and uneven terrain in places.  You may like to bring sticks if there has been rain prior to the walk as it may be muddy in places.  All stiles have been replaced by gates.
The route takes us onto both the old Wannie and Rothbury railway lines, long since abandoned.  We will also pass other remnants of Wallington’s industrial past such as an abandoned quarry and limestone kilns.  Views around the countryside are beautiful and we will be walking along the side of a stream for a short while.  The walk is well signposted.
We will stop for lunch halfway round.
