Overview

We start from the NT car park on Ranmore Common and head north before going through Norbury Park and down into the valley of the River Mole and Mickleham Village, then climb Box Hill for a lunch stop.  After descending the steps down to the stepping stones, the route skirts Denbies vineyard and follows before climbing back up to Steers Field and the start point.

Mostly on good paths and shouldn't be too muddy, although there are some steep ascents and descents and poles will be  useful.  If the coffee stall in Norbury Park is open we will pause there, lunch may be available from the NT cafe on Box Hill.

There is a charge for the NT car park (free to members), free parking might be possible opposite Ranmore Church.

The route may be shortened to omit Box Hill at the leader's discretion if the pace is slow or the weather is bad.

Off Ranmore Common Road close to Ranmore Church. This is the NT Carpark. You will need to be a National Trust member, or you can buy a carpark ticket.
