A circular walk starting from Ripon, passing through the Studley Royal estate with views of the Fountains Abbey.
As we leave the car park, we pass in front of Ripon Cathedral before dropping down to the River Skell. We follow a riverside path west towards Studley Royal through Hell Wath nature reserve and Whitecliffe Wood nature reserve. We then pick up the Ripon Rowel long distance path, through the Valley of the Seven Bridges to our lunch stop by the Studley Royal Cafe and Lake.
After lunch we head up to St Mary’s Church and continue through the Studley Royal deer park with impressive views back to Ripon Cathedral. Leaving the deer park we arrive at the village of Studley Roger before heading back to Ripon.
