A City of London walk exploring some of the traces of its Roman past and the now 'hidden river' Walbrook which ran through its centre. We have arranged a visit to the London Mithraeum, the reconstructed Temple of Mithras under Bloomberg's European headquarters in Walbrook Street. There is a display of some of the most important artifacts found during the excavations, an interesting explanation of the cult of Mithraism and an 'immersive experience' in the temple itself.
Tickets are free but places are limited so please text 07796 264917 or email jackie.ramblers@gmail.com to book a place.
The walk will finish at Tower Hill where there are refreshment opportunities for a late lunch. It is recommended you bring a mid-morning snack as most cafes are closed in the City on a Saturday.
