Overview

We leave Rowland's Castle on the Staunton Way to South Holt Farm.  Then we turn east towards West Marden through woods and fields.  At West Marden we follow the ridge round to Robin Wood, descending to cross the road and ascend through fields to Ladyholt.  We join the Sussex Border Path for a short time as we walk to Chalton. From Chalton we walk across Chalton and Idsworth Downs to Finchdean, with 360' views (weather permitting!).  At Finchdean there's a short ascent before we reach Rowland's Castle.

This is a hilly walk.  Some of the paths may be overgrown.
