Route:
The walk starts alongside the narrow gauge railway and beyond to the dam. Here we turn left and follow a private road which is part of the Staffordshire Way.  As we climb towards the top of the hill we take the path to the left through the trees. The path passes through the grounds of Cliffe Park and Rea Cliffe Wood.  A lane is joined by the Sailing Club.  Footpaths and roads take us to the side of the lake past a café and Visitor Centre.  A  path is taken to walk along a canal feeder then up an embankment and back to the car.
Some paths may be muddy.
Please bring a drink and snack for a short break.
