If you are a Ramblers member, please bring your membership card. You MUST text or ring the leader to BOOK a place. You should not join the walk unless you have received a verbal CONFIRMATION or a TEXT.
It is five years since we last did this lovely walk and this time we go in the opposite direction. We leave Sapperton on the Thames and Severn Way with our first objective being Far Oakridge. From here we turn North to Edgeworth where we stop for lunch at the Manor (not literally!). The Frome valley takes us past valley farm before ascending onto Duntisbourne Common and a short road walk to Pinbury Park and hence the Macmillan Way to Sapperton. Another varied walk and apart from a couple of short “soft” (code name for mud) sections, straightforward under foot. Please bring a packed lunch.
Contact walk leader Rod to reserve your place on this walk and to tell him if you are going direct or require car share. For those members who are happy to car share, we meet first at the Bath Road car park in Chippenham. (“Pay and Display”). Lifts are suggested at £5.00.
