This walk climbs on to high moorland paths and with average luck there will be great views and a breeze to blow the cobwebs away.
It is not suitable for absolute beginners or if you don't have proper clothing because we will be on high and very exposed moorland for the main part of the walk, on rough and wet paths. But if you are dressed for the elements and able to walk for about 5 hours this is a good introduction to Manchester Weekend Walkers as we have been happily walking this route every January for over 10 years.
This group will walk at a pace that will be comfortable for people who are familiar with walking on the hills. If you are less experienced or returning to walking please consider joining one of our other two groups that will leave earlier in the morning and will cover the same route at a slightly slower pace. We expect that all groups will catch up across the day and we will certainly all meet in the pub at the end.
No dogs please.
