Overview

Note: Assistance dogs only. Any dogs should be kept on a lead. There are no ascents and no stiles. The paths are well-defined along the river Medway. The extension to the Aylesford bridge is likely to be muddy (if the extension is walked. I estimate the latest time to finish as 13.30 hours (14.30 hours if the extension walked). Bring a packed lunch as we stop in the Whatman Park for a coffee stop and the Malta Inn after walking the tow path.

Start time:
10:00 am
Estimated finish time:
1:30 pm
Difficulty:
Leisurely
Distance:
8.9km / 5.5mi
Ascent:
N/A
Type:
circular

Terrain: Some road walking at the start (but on pavements) so no mud. This walk is shorter than the same walk I lead in the summer, but an extension to Aylesford can be walked at the end if there is demand. That would take the distance to around 8 miles.
