We are the Medway Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starts at 10:00 hrs: Park half a mile down Castle Road by turning to the right just passed the second railway bridge. (Do not park before this, to the left, as that is the Community Association car park). The next car park, on the right, is correct .. Allington CP. That is for (dog) walkers. (ME16 0TT, TQ747575). We will see seven bridges on route and pass Allington Castle, two parks and the marina. You can view modern architecture & 'The Mill' from Whatman Park. Bring a packed lunch as we can stop at Whatman Park where there are plenty of seats near the band stand. Liquid refreshment is available at the Malta Inn on completion or prior to the extension. (ASSISTANCE DOGS ONLY). Circular walk.

Terrain: There are no stiles and only gentle ascents. Walk to Tovil via Oakwood Park, Maidstone. We then follow the River Medway via Whatman Park back to Allington Lock. If the walk is extended to Aylesford because of fine weather and walkers consent the walk becomes MODERATE because of distance.
