Overview

A gentle 4 miles woodland walk, starting at Currie library, following the Water of Leith downstream via Colinton Tunnel after stopping for a break in Spylaw park. Take walkway at 'Slateford via Canal' sign post and continue to follow the path through the dell until we reach Lanark Road and Water of Leith visitors centre where we plan to stop for social gathering, selling hot drinks and cakes/sweets/biscuits. Return back to start using Lothian 44 regular bus.

The first 3 miles of the route has a tarmac path, after which the route is dirt and stones, and 3 groups of steps, max 11 steps together. Some areas can be muddy if its been raining.
