Overview

Starting at the Shropshire Hills DC in Craven Arms, the walk follows the Shropshire Way through Sibdon Carwood to ascend to Hopesay Hill and Common, returning via Cheney Longville and the new Flow Railway Bridge which has won several design innovation awards. Refreshments after the walk in the lovely cafe at the Discovery Centre.

Car parking at the Discovery Centre, and please donate a minimum of £1 for parking. Bring poles as it may be muddy due to the time of year, and there is a steep ascent to Hopesay Hill and Common. The walking will be through fields, across open heathland and on quiet lanes.  There will be a need to cross the busy A49 at the end of the walk and a return along the River Onny to the Centre.
