Philip will meet people at 10:30 at the car park and Lynne will meet people at 10:30 the Metro station.

The two groups will then merge together just 5 minutes later at the Ferry landing.

The walk will be on good footpaths around the coast of South Shields. There is set of 50 steps to climb,.

There are toilets available at The Word library which is near both starts of the walk and there are also toilets about 3/4 of the way through the walk.

We shall stop for lunch near Minchella's Cafe at Sandhaven Beach.

At the end of the walk we may like to visit the cafe at The Word or a drink at the historic Alum Ale House!
