We are the Hampshire 40+ Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A lovely walk around the quiet lanes and paths out of the red doored village of Southwick north of Fareham and Portsmouth.
The walk takes us past the house where Field Marshall Montgomery lived at the time of D-Day and up onto the top of Portsdown Hill with its fine views of Portsmouth, the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
Stretches of the walk may be muddy if there has been a spell of rain.
Well behaved dogs welcome.

Start is the Public Car Park behind the Golden Lion pub next to the D-Day Memorial Hall (please do not park in the Memorial Hall car park itself) postcode PO17 6ED. There is alternative parking in the village if its necessary.
