This walk will be led by Anne Exton. and the route taken will provide great views over the valleys and across the Moors (weather permitting)
From the car park at the Hole of Horcum we will walk steeply down the valley into 'the Hole' before an ascent up Dundale Griff and along Limpsey Gate Lane into the village of Levisham. After a lunch break the route goes due west from Levisham before a very steep descent towards Levisham Station. From Levisham Bottoms there is a steep ascent to the top of a hill marked 'Pillow Mounds' Pillow Mounds are sometimes confused with burial chambers but are thought to be artificial, medieval rabbit warrens.
We carry on to Dundale Pond before joining the Tabular Hills Walk towards the Hole of Horcum. Parts of the walk will be muddy after prolonged wet spells, and there will be some steep ascents and descents (walking poles may be advisable for some)
