Overview

From the car park we have an uphill walk before turning off and heading over the fields to reach the hamlet of Thornwaite. From here we follow the Padside beck then have a further uphill road walk and then make our way across the fields  to join the Six Dales trail which we follow  down to the village of Padside. We then take the footpaths which take us over to the east side of Thruscross reservoir to join the track which takes us back to the car park. A lunch stop will be made at a suitable spot along the way.
