From the Main Street we head towards the motorway and cross over the footbridge and make our way along the footpaths/farmtracks which lead us into Hazel Wood and the grounds of Hazelwood Castle Hotel. We then follow the long farm track behind the Hotel before turning off and heading down to Lead Church where we will stop for a lunch break. After the break we retrace our steps back to the path which takes us back to the motorway and into Aberford.
The walk is mainly along farm tracks and across several fields which may be muddy in places.There are a couple of stiles to cross and apart from a small incline near the end of the walk it is quite flat and will be done at a BRISK PACE ----- by public transport the no 64 from Cultural B at 9.02 is due into Aberford at 9.38
