From the car park we go past the cafe and over to the top car park on Arthington Lane. We then have some road walking until we reach the Donkey Sanctuary . We then follow the footpaths over the fields until we reach Bankside Farm then have more road walking until we reach the Harewood Estate. The path then meanders through the estate passing the Emmerdale village T.V. set before emerging opposite Eccup Reservoir. Some further road waking is then necessary to take us back into Golden Acre Park and back to the car park. A lunch break will be made at a suitable spot along the route.
The walk is mainly over fields and farmland and may be muddy in places. There are several stiles along the route and a fair amount of road walking involved. There is a cafe and public toilets available a short walk from the car park.--- on the 25/26 Leeds/Otley bus route
