Starting from the car park we pass the Lower Wireworks and wind our way up following the Angidy River to the the Ancient Iron works and the Tintern Cross which marks the highest of the industrial sites along the Angidy. We the retrace some of our steps before turning off and up through the Glyn Woods and onto St Mary's church and the Tintern Limekilns. We then make are way back to Tintern Abbey and follow the foot path along the river to the Abbey Mill, then returning back to the car park. The terrain is a mixture of riverside path and country roads, tracks and woodland paths. Some of the paths are muddy and a short climb up through the woods.
